What to Expect After You Place Your Order

You clicked 'place order' — now what? If this is your first online purchase in Pakistan, the days between ordering and delivery can feel uncertain. This guide is for new online shoppers who want to know exactly what happens after they order from The Lands Store: confirmation, packing, dispatch, tracking, and the knock on your door.

Step 1: Order Confirmation (Within Hours)

The moment your order goes through, it enters our system and you receive a confirmation — on screen and usually by SMS or message. Save this: it contains your order number, the items you bought, and the total amount. You will need the order number for any questions later, so screenshot it or keep the message.

Step 2: The Verification Call

For cash-on-delivery orders, our team typically calls or messages you to verify the order. This usually happens within a few hours on working days. The call is short: we confirm your items, your address, and that you placed the order yourself. Here is why it matters — it catches typos in phone numbers, wrong addresses, accidental duplicate orders, and, rarely, orders placed by someone else using your number. Please respond promptly; an unverified COD order may be cancelled to protect you.

If you ordered with online payment, verification is usually automatic and faster, since payment itself confirms intent.

Step 3: Packing and Quality Check

Once confirmed, your order moves to packing. Items are checked against your order, packed to survive courier handling — fragile items like phone displays get extra protection — and sealed. This stage usually takes 1–2 working days. If anything you ordered is out of stock at packing time (rare, but it happens), our team contacts you with options: a replacement, a partial shipment, or a cancellation of that item.

Step 4: Dispatch and Handover to Courier

Your sealed parcel is handed to our courier partner with a shipping label showing your name, address, and phone number. At this point you typically receive a tracking number by SMS. Keep it — it is your window into the parcel's journey.

Step 5: In Transit — What the Tracking Statuses Mean

  • Picked up / received at facility: the courier has your parcel.
  • In transit: moving between cities or sorting hubs. This is where the parcel spends most of its time.
  • Arrived at destination city: it is now local — delivery is near.
  • Out for delivery: the rider has it and will call you. Keep your phone reachable today.
  • Delivery attempted: the rider came but could not deliver — usually because the phone was unreachable. They normally retry the next working day.
  • Delivered: done. Check your parcel and keep the receipt.

Step 6: Delivery Day — Your Part

On delivery day: keep your phone switched on and nearby, have the cash total ready (riders do not always carry change), and make sure someone is available to receive the parcel. When the rider arrives, check that the packaging is sealed and the sender name matches The Lands Store before paying. Then pay the exact total shown on your order confirmation. For a full breakdown of timelines and charges, see our Pakistan delivery FAQ.

Step 7: After Delivery — Inspect Promptly

Open your parcel the same day if you can. Check that every item matches your order and nothing is damaged. Keep the packaging and receipt for a few days. If anything is wrong — wrong item, damaged box, missing piece — contact our support team immediately with your order number and clear photos. The sooner you report, the faster we can fix it.

What Can Delay an Order?

  • Wrong contact details — the number-one cause. One wrong digit and the rider cannot reach you.
  • Unanswered verification calls — the order cannot be dispatched until confirmed.
  • Public holidays and Eid rush — couriers slow down nationwide; order a few days earlier around holidays.
  • Weather and road disruptions — monsoon rains and winter fog in Punjab delay intercity movement.
  • Remote areas — far-flung towns may add a day or two versus major cities.

Ordering for Someone Else

Many customers order for parents, relatives, or friends in another city — COD makes this easy. Put the recipient's name, address, and active mobile number in the delivery details (not yours), since the rider will call that number. Give the recipient a heads-up: tell them the expected total in cash and the approximate delivery window so they are prepared. Keep your own order number safe — if anything needs resolving, you as the buyer are our point of contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know my order is confirmed?

You get an on-screen confirmation plus an SMS/message with your order number. For COD orders, our verification call or message is the second confirmation — once you respond, packing begins.

Can I change my address after ordering?

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. If the parcel has not been dispatched yet, we can usually update it. Once it is with the courier, changes become difficult.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, if it has not been dispatched. Message our support team with your order number and we will cancel it. After dispatch, cancellation is generally not possible, but our return process covers genuine issues.

What if the tracking has not updated for days?

Tracking sometimes skips scans between cities — no update does not always mean no movement. If there is no update for more than 3–4 working days, contact us with your tracking number and we will follow up with the courier.

Do I need to be home, or can someone else receive it?

Someone trustworthy at your address can receive and pay on your behalf — just make sure they know the total amount and to check the sealed parcel first.

From click to doorstep, the process is designed to keep you informed at every step. Order with The Lands Store, keep your phone handy, and your everyday essentials will be at your door with cash on delivery anywhere in Pakistan.
